Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Launched With 29Kmpl Mileage, See Price And Features

Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Car: Maruti Suzuki has officially unveiled the 2025 edition of the Alto 800. Being one among the most cherished hatchbacks in India, the new Alto 800 targets first-time buyers and smaller families in the budget-conscious, practical, and feature-packed entry-level car segment.

Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Specifications

The new Alto 800 ups the ante with a more aggressive grille, slimmer headlamps, and a slightly raised stance to proclaim itself as a dynamic road competitor. Fresher interiors adorn a dual-tone dash, improved-grade fabric upholstery, and better ergonomics to ensure comfort on city rides. Maruti further includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system (top variants only), smartphone connectivity, front power windows, and rear parking sensors that one rarely finds in this price category.

Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Engine Power

The Alto 800 remains gifted with the 796cc three-cylinder petrol engine under the hood, which is now tweaked to meet the more stringent BS6 Phase 2 norms. It produces a reliable 47bhp of power and 69Nm of torque, which works well with a nifty 5-speed manual transmission. With the help of Maruti’s engineering know-how, the hatchback now returns a better fuel efficiency of about 29km/l, placing it in the practical side of daily commute. While there’s no official announcement so far, it is fairly hunch-worthy that a factory-fitted CNG version is on its way in the near term, greatly attracting users who are short on capital but want low running costs.

Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Price

In all likelihood, the base variant in the new range will be priced at around Rs. 3.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), with the top-end variant priced at around Rs. 5.5 lakhs. With an upgrade in styling and features and fuel-efficient engine in tow, the 2025 Alto 800 will potentially continue at the forefront of choice as India’s most popular entry-level car. Safety-wise, the 2025 Alto 800 complies with the new Indian safety norms and supports standard dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminders, and a body with enhanced strength.
